Legend's assistant integrations connect account information and supported trading actions to the Legend Trading API. Muse uses an API connector; MCP provides a separate integration path for compatible assistant hosts.
Which assistants are supported?
Muse's API connector has been tested with Legend. The ChatGPT and Claude MCP integrations are in an employee-only preview. Production account reads, OAuth refresh, and proposal links into Legend’s trade form have been verified in both hosts; these checks did not submit live orders. Preview support does not mean Legend is listed in either assistant's app directory.
Check the connector setup and availability guide before connecting. Assistant plans, host permissions, and available tools can differ. Do not paste your API key into a chat message; use the host's credential setup.
What can a connector read?
Authorized account reads include balances, available-to-trade estimates, positions, orders, fills, and execution status. Read access does not grant permission to execute trades.
Can it trade?
The Trading API supports real execution with trading permission. The MCP preview separates account reads and order preparation from an execution endpoint that additionally requires trading permission. The assistant host must also allow the capability; a working API does not guarantee that a host permits every action.
A prepared order link opens Legend for review. Opening it does not place an order. For supported execution integrations, granting trading access is a real account permission: do not assume every host enforces a separate confirmation screen for every action.
Legend's connector flow is mainnet-only. It does not offer paper or testnet trading.
