Export my private key

Back up your Legend wallet or use it in another wallet app.

Your private key gives full control of your wallet. Export it only when you need it, and keep it secret.

Steps

  • Web: open Settings, select Wallet, then select View wallet under Recovery.
  • iOS: open your Profile, select the settings icon, then select Export private key under Security.

You must sign in again to confirm that it is you.

Use the key in another wallet

You can import the key into an EVM wallet, such as MetaMask or Rabby. The imported wallet has the same address as your Legend wallet.

Keep it safe

  • Never share your private key. Legend support will never ask for it.
  • Do not paste it into a website, a chat, or a form.
  • Anyone with the key can take all of your funds.
