Autocopy is Legend's continuous copy-trading feature. You select a trader, allocate an amount of USDC, and Legend mirrors that trader's position changes proportionally in a dedicated wallet associated with your account.
When the trader opens, resizes, flips, or closes a supported position, Autocopy updates your corresponding position. Your copy is scaled to your allocation, so it does not use the trader's raw dollar order size.
Autocopy and One-Tap Copy
Legend offers two copying actions:
- One-tap copy copies one individual trade. You confirm that trade and manage the resulting position yourself.
- Autocopy follows an entire trader over time and mirrors future position changes automatically.
One-tap copy vs Autocopy explains when each approach fits.
How Autocopy Starts
- Open a trader's profile or Autocopy action.
- Review their performance, positions, leverage, drawdown, and profit-share terms.
- Choose how much capital to allocate.
- Decide whether to copy only newly opened positions.
- Confirm the allocation and begin Autocopy.
Legend creates or reuses a dedicated Autocopy wallet for the allocation. The source trader never controls that wallet.
How Positions Are Sized
Autocopy targets proportional exposure based on the capital you allocated and the trader's strategy equity. A copier with a smaller allocation receives a correspondingly smaller target position.
Market minimums, available margin, slippage, and execution timing can cause your result to differ from the source trader. During the current alpha, proportional orders below $10 are skipped.
Autocopy Costs
Your results can include:
- Trading fees
- Funding payments
- Spread and slippage
- The trader's displayed profit share on profitable copied trades
- A one-time network activation fee when a new Autocopy wallet must be created
Review the confirmation screen before starting.
Autocopy Risks
Autocopy mirrors the trader's losses along with their gains. Leverage can increase drawdown and liquidation risk. Past performance does not guarantee future results, and an onchain record tells you what happened rather than what will happen next.
Use a deliberate allocation, review combined portfolio exposure, and monitor changes in the trader's behavior. Read the copy-trading risk-management guide before allocating significant capital.
